Roundabouts

The rules relating to roundabouts are simple, the main ones relating to giving priority to traffic is WHERE? from ahead and to the your right and watching out for traffic already on the roundabout.

On approaching a roundabout take notice and act on all information available to you, including traffic signs, traffic lights and road/lane markings which direct you in to the correct lane ( see opposite ). Then emerging onto the roundabout is where it goes wrong for many where judgment becomes a factor.

You will need to use the MSM ( Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre ) at every stage and decide as early as possible which exit you need to take.

Lets take a 3 exit roundabout (4th if you include the exit your coming from)...
